I have been getting invites on yahoo messenger from strangers several times a day. How do i stop or block that?

3 to 4 times a day i get text message on my phone and pop ups on my yahoo messenger saying someone wants to add me. The people who are wanting to add me are obviousley robots, so i was wondering how can i prevent these messages from popping up. can i prevent anyone from adding me or requesting to add me?
