Can I check my wife's bag in?

My wife and I are traveling on Jet Blue to Florida. She is coming straight from work and I am taking both our bags to the airport earlier. Can I check her bag in for her without her physically there (but checked in according to the online/kiosk check in) or do I have to wait for her to get there?
