Question before i go to recruiter, Marines or Army?

I have talked to people about it and before i go to a recruiter i want to have my guns loaded with questions. I have been looking at the usmc uz enlistment and the ranger enlistment. i want to do more direct action but at any rate i would like to be in a special unit. not so i can say i am bad *** but because that is what i have wanted to do my whole life, my dad was a recon marine so i am partial to that but i do not want to rule out the army and where it might take me. no dick answers plz this is a serious question. thanks!
